Sensata elects two new directors at its May 22 Annual Meeting

ALMELO, Netherlands, May 22, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Sensata Technologies Holding N.V. (NYSE: ST), a leading global supplier of sensors and controls, today announced the election of 10 directors, including two new directors, at its Annual Meeting held May 22 in Almelo. In addition, the shareholders passed all other proposals before them at the Annual Meeting.

Thomas Wroe, Paul Edgerley, Michael Ward, Stephen Zide, John Lewis, Charles Peffer, Michael Jacobson, and Kirk Pond were reelected. Lewis Campbell was elected as an Independent Director, effective immediately. He will join the Compensation Committee. Martha Sullivan was also elected to the Board effective January 1, 2013 in preparation for her previously announced transition to Chief Executive Officer, also effective January 1, 2013.

Two Directors affiliated with Bain Capital, Ed Conard and Seth Meisel, left the board as part of the company's continued transition to an independent board.

Lewis Campbell was Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Textron Inc. until December 2009. He continued as non-executive Chairman of Textron's board until August 2010. He joined Textron in September 1992 as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer after a 24-year career at General Motors where he held a number of key management positions. Campbell is also a Director of Bristol-Myers Squibb and a trustee of Noblis Inc.
